Prayer at home requires neither a book nor a knowledge of Church Slavonic. A few texts known by heart are enough, and the quiet in which to say them. Those gathered here open almost every service and belong to the morning and evening rule.
Where there is no church nearby, these same prayers are read at home in the morning and at night, with the Gospel of the day added on Sundays.
